What is LastSwab made from?
LastSwab’s rod is made from polypropylene (PP) that’s reinforced with glass fiber and the soft tip ends are produced using thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). The carry case is made from recycled ocean-bound plastic.
What is recycled ocean bound plastic?
The vast majority of ocean plastic originates within 30 miles (50 kilometers) of the planet’s coastlines. Poor waste management within this 30-miles zone causes approximately 8 million metric tons of plastic to end up in oceans. Diverting and then recycling this excess of ocean-bound plastic, protects sea life and marine ecosystems and also goes a long way towards reducing inland plastic pollution as well. Our supplier is the first company in the world to receive Ocean-Bound Plastic certification, which was developed by Zero Plastic Oceans and audited by Control Union.
What’s wrong with normal single-use cotton swabs?
Single-use cotton swabs made of plastic or paper have a damaging impact on the environment. The average person goes through hundreds of single-use swabs per year. In addition to production and packaging, these cotton swabs must also go through warehousing and shipping only to be used and immediately discarded — sometimes within a matter or seconds. During this process, the use of raw materials and level of carbon emissions significantly impacts the planet and propels global warming, which ultimately accelerates climate change. Switching to reusable products like LastSwab plays a small but critical role in minimizing this environmental damage.
How many times can you reuse LastSwab?
LastSwab is carefully designed and rigorously tested to last upto 1,000 uses.
Is LastSwab Sanitary?
Yes, we developed LastSwab with health and hygiene in mind. You can easily clean LastSwab with a little water and soap or use a disinfectant, for example, rubbing alcohol to sanitize it.

Can I use LastSwab for nail polish removal, art projects or instrument cleaning?
You can generally use a LastSwab as you would use a single use swab. Just keep in mind that LastSwab isn't heat resistant.
How many single use swabs must LastSwab replace to ensure a healthier environment?
It only takes 36 uses, which translates to just over a month of use, for LastSwab to be a better option than single-use q-tips in terms of carbon footprint. Lasting upto to 1,000 uses, it’s easy to see why LastSwab is making such a big difference in the fight against the single-use epidemic.
Where is LastSwab manufactured?
LastSwab Basic is manufactured in Denmark. We have two LastSwab Beauty manufacturers. One is located in Denmark and the other one is based in China. When we work with non-EU manufacturers, we only work with manufacturers that have SMETA (ethical audit) certificates.
How does LastSwab Beauty work best?
LastSwab Beauty works best as a make-up accessory. Our cosmetics experts dip the end in make-up remover to take off excess mascara on their eyelids for the picture-perfect look.
How do I clean LastSwab Beauty, and can I use it in my beauty salon?
If you use LastSwab Beauty as a makeup artist or in a beauty salon, be sure to give it a thorough clean between customers using warm water and soap. This helps to prevent bacteria forming on the swab, and causing an eye infection or similar. After washing let it dry, then soak it in alcohol sanitizer before leaving it to dry again. Thereafter, it’ll be as good as new, ready for your next customer.
What are LastTissues made from?
LastTissues are made from 100% certified organic cotton. The case is made from food-grade silicone.
Is silicone a sustainable material?
Silicone is a durable material that is more ocean-friendly than plastic. The LastTissue case can last a lifetime but you can recycle it at its end of life. If for any reason it’s not recycled, but thrown out and incinerated at a waste facility, silicone reverts back into its harmless ingredients: amorphous silica, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
What size are the tissues and case?
LastTissues measure in at 19cm x 19cm (7 inches x 7 inches) each. The case dimensions are 11cm x 5.5cm x 2.5cm (4.3 inches x 2.2 inches x 1 inch).
How many tissues are included in the pack, and can I buy refills?
A LastTissue pack includes six reusable tissues. You can also order sets of six refill tissues are available to order
Are LastTissues hygienic?
Yes, you can machine wash the tissues at 140°F/ 60°C to kill off germs (be sure to unfold the tissues before washing). The case design enables you to separate the clean tissues from the nasties (used tissues) using a silicone barrier for hygiene purposes. The silicone case itself is dishwasher safe.
I’m already using a handkerchief, why should I get LastTissues?
LastTissues are more environmentally-friendly like handkerchiefs but have the added convenience of a single-use tissue pack. One LastTissue pack contains six reusable tissues that you can use on the go and store appropriately in a practical, hygienic case until the next wash.
How long do LastTissues last?
Each of the six reusable tissues last upto 520 uses, which means one LastTissue pack replaces as many as 3,100+ single-use tissues. To further extend the life of LastTissues, wash them in a mesh laundry bag.
How do I fold the tissues when refilling the case?
You can fold the tissues any way you would like, but if you would like to see how they are folded when you receive the case, please see here.

How many rounds come in a LastRound case?
Each LastRounds case comes with seven reusable rounds.
What size are the rounds?
Each round has a 9cm or 3.54-inch diameter.
Can I buy refill rounds?
Yes, refills are available to order here — buy refill rounds. Refills for LastRound Pro and LastRound Large are not yet available.
How many times can you reuse LastRounds?
LastRounds are carefully designed and rigorously tested to last 250 uses per round, which translates to 1,750 uses per LastRound case (seven rounds).
How do you wash LastRounds?
You can wash LastRounds in the washing machine at 140°F / 60°C. We recommend washing them in a mesh laundry bag and then air drying to extend the lifespan of the rounds.
What’s the best way to clean make-up off the rounds?
Most liquid make-up, such as foundation, is oil-based, and the best way to remove these types of stains is by rubbing a little dish soap on the rounds before putting them in the laundry.
Can I use the rounds to remove nail polish?
LastRounds can be used with nail polish remover but it’s important to clean them thoroughly after-use to maximize longevity. If nail polish remover is not completely cleaned off the rounds, they will become stiffer and will not last as long. Once you use a round for nail polish, we recommend dedicating that same round (from the pack of seven) to nail polish use only.
How do I dispose of the rounds when they reach their end of life?
LastRounds are 100% compostable, so you can easily add them to your normal household waste.
