Why zero waste?

Every year, trillions of single-use plastic products are consumed and thrown away — often ending up on beaches and in oceans harming marine life. What’s more, the current culture of consumption is not sustainable. Extracting and processing raw materials requires an exceptional amount of energy. It also causes a high rate of pollution for very limited use, with many non-biodegradable items ending up in landfills.
